50-year-old has worked for Southern and Sub Sahara Africa’s largest Facilities Management company for more than 17 years.  She is qualified in several disciplines, some of which include the notable Gordon’s Institute of Business Science Learner Development Program; Risk Management in Construction; Occupational Health & Safety for Managers and Business Management and Administration to name but a few.

Her expertise lies in her ability to lead a team as she possesses exceptionally strong leadership capabilities. Under her leadership, for four consecutive years, all sites on her portfolio both achieved and exceeded budget to include significant profit.  Under her directorship, staff are empowered to perform at their best to achieve the desired outcomes, while her interpersonal skills has seen her develop significant networking connections within the FM industry.

She brings innovation to the forefront of business as she is lateral thinker and demonstrates a high-risk tolerance. This innovativeness led to the successful renewing of a Public Private Partnership contract for an additional three years, the first PPP contract awarded to the same consortium.

She is often regarded as the active agent of change, able to implement excellent strategic hard and soft services planning along with client development expertise to drive businesses forward.  Adept at delivering a forward thinking analytical approach, allied to finance and budget management, in order to provide new concepts, strategic planning and logical solutions to complex problems.  She is results orientated and customer focused and has excellent relationship management skills.

She started her facilities management career in June of 2001 as a Help Desk Operator but quickly excelled and was promoted to Help Desk Supervisor the very next year. Within two years, she was once again promoted, this time to Site Manager and then Soft Services Manager. Due to her tenacious drive to exceed all expectations, it was not long before she was promoted yet again to Senior Facilities Manager. In this role she led and managed a team of 40+ staff, incorporating all aspects of a total facilities management contract. It was through her ambitious enterprise that lead to the successful bid for the transport and logistics contract, which saw her competing against renowned companies in the same industry. This contract has remained in place for a number of years and has proven to be lucrative to both client and service provider. Never one to shy away from implementing new services to further reinforce the company’s foothold, she devised an innovative 9-month contractor competition to establish the most efficient and cost-effective waste management option, with further sites ultimately adopting the program as an exemplar. Through her on-going coaching and mentorship, team members were empowered to think independently and make strategic decisions for each of their departments.


Her final promotion was that of Regional Operations Executive in charge of an extremely complex contract, managing multiple operational service streams and executive relationships within the department. In this position she truly flourished as she operated at an exceptionally senior level across both the public and private sector. On this contract, she contributed towards 70% of the EBIT, managing a budget in excess of R203million per fiscal year. Through diligence, hard work and a no-nonsense attitude towards both client satisfaction and optimisation of productivity, she successful in renewing this contract for a further three years, the first ever consortium to achieve this.
