Maintenance Team Lead:
We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the following team:
Key performance areas for this position will include the following:
• Lead and supervise maintenance teams in the execution of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.
• Ensure the optimal performance, reliability, availability, and uptime of machinery, equipment, and plant assets.
• Effectively allocate personnel, tools, equipment, and other resources to ensure maintenance schedules are achieved.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and unplanned maintenance events, ensuring effective troubleshooting and root-cause resolution.
• Maintain discipline, productivity, teamwork, and positive morale within the maintenance team.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and company standards.
• Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to improve technical capability, performance, accountability, and adherence to required standards.
Qualifications
Grade 12 (for external applicants only), relevant red seal qualification, additional training or certification in Maintenance Management, Preventative Maintenance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Quality Management will be considered advantageous.
Experience
3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and processes.
Experience working within a cable manufacturing or similar heavy manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal, strong leadership and team management ability, Strong problem solving and fault-finding capability, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, and solid understanding of manufacturing processes .
