Summary of Experience:

He started his career in the hospitality trade after completing his degree, thus laying the foundation for a customer service orientated approach in all he does. His passion for wine took him into the FMCG & liquor space as a Brand Manager where he took various brands to new levels and creating value concepts with key retails nationally. His responsibilities included the full drafting & management of all marketing and PR touch points along with fully encompassing brand plan. This was used to accelerate consumption & share culminating in achieving over 130% growth. He was then offered the opportunity of being National Sales Manager within a multi-billion FMCG powerhouse and solely focused on the foods business. He had the responsibility to devise, implement and manage national foods customer’s strategies across the national sales force & strategic accounts within retail, wholesale, agents & distributors across all iconic foods brands. Sourcing and executing new route to market opportunities in Foodservice, Healthcare, Traditional Trade & partners across Southern Africa was achieved by developing and driving all sales metrics through entire sales force & telesales to ensure clinical execution of brand and consumer strategy. From there he moved to other multinationals in similar roles to broaden his experience and category understanding. Two particular projects he initiated and led was an in-depth analysis of customer & product distribution across all channels to fully understand opportunities. Devising & implementing tailored tactical action to unlock growth, drive brands distribution & maximize on sales force & merchandising efficiency as a holistic (RTM) route to market. Key takeout’s: MSL Compliance, Cost to Serve & Conditional initiatives that drive incremental growth. Finally working within traditional trade channel to create a new independent business module that re-sold our brands through key stakeholders within that region. Leveraging their influence & local presence was critical to give our consumers access to our products. Developing various support tools to ensure the independent operator was enabled to meet sales demands and successfully run their business. This model continues to be refined to reduce OPEX from >30% now down to <15%
