This candidate has completed her Master’s in Business Administration, together with various other human resources accredited courses including a masters in BBBEE. Global Leadership certification -UAE. She is a confident, professional individual.  She is able to present herself clearly, providing articulate, well thought out responses.

She began her career with a telecommunications company and was successfully promoted up the ranks quite rapidly. Thereafter she was identified as one of the company’s top talent and was put on their individual ‘fast track’ programme.  She was given the opportunity to work within the operational side of the business, where she was responsible for the rollout of a national project implementing a purchasing card solution.  The rationale behind this was to provide individuals who had been identified as potential leaders within the organisation, to gain experience in a role outside of their comfort zone. This role was a tremendous success, allowing her the opportunity to gain experience within the commercial side of business, understanding the interface between Human Resources and general business.

However, after nine years of employment within the organisation, she felt that it would be prudent to gain exposure to another industries in order to gain exposure to HR best practices.  She then accepted a role initially based at a mine in Rustenburg, responsible for three mining operations and all of the related processing plants.  Simultaneously she was responsible for developing, implementing and running a performance optimisation project.  As this project grew, she moved into this role fulltime, taking responsibility for the rollout of the project for the entire group working alongside a London-based consulting firm. She was offered the opportunity to join an ex-colleague in a consulting business, which she did for a brief period of time before joining a large bank as a National Senior Business Partner responsible for the management of the regional HRBP’s. Here she was responsible for the full general management of Human Resources for various different functions within the organisation.

She was approached by the CFO of a company, a division of a large cellular provider, who she had previously worked with, to join them on a contract basis, where she was tasked with managing the Human Resources department. Within a couple of months her role was made permanent and she was appointed as a Board member – Executive Director.  Within a year she was asked to take on, in addition to her current HR Executive role the marketing portfolio.

After 5 years with this subsidiary she was then approached to join another company reporting directly into the Group HR EMEA executive based in Denmark within the Head Office based in the UK. During her employment there, she had the opportunity to work with various HR directors across EMEA thereby allowing her to gain exposure to international best practice methodologies. She had 5 direct reports and a member of the Exco Committee as well as Risk and Compliance committee.

She is currently employed, overseeing the SSA operations from a strategy and people integration perspective across Africa. Implementation of Global best practices in terms of HR people practices, with focus on expansion into Africa.
